Salary:$29.5hourly 40 hours per Week

As a Roofer, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of a variety of roofing systems. The successful candidate must demonstrate hands-on experience, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. Experience with solar-integrated roofing and familiarity with roofing estimation software are strong assets.

Key Responsibilities:

-Install, repair, and replace asphalt shingle, metal, and single-ply roofing systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship.

-Work on sloped and flat roofs, including roofs with solar panel systems, performing maintenance and repairs around existing installations without damaging equipment.
Install built-up roofing systems using asphalt-saturated felts, hot asphalt, gravel, or modified asphaltic membranes.

-Install sheet metal flashings, waterproof membranes, and metal roofing panels using hand and power tools.

-Apply waterproof coatings to concrete and masonry surfaces both above and below ground level.

-Read and interpret roof plans, estimate material needs, and calculate measurements for quoting and ordering supplies.

-Set up and dismantle scaffolding and ladders to ensure safe roof access and compliance with safety standards.

-Adhere to Nova Scotia building codes and OHS regulations, maintaining a clean and safe job site at all times.

-Work collaboratively with crew members and supervisors to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.


Education:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: experience as assets.
