EcoTreeCo – Tree Planting Crew Member (Term Position)

Selkirk, MB | May 21 – June 30 (Possible summer extension)

EcoTreeCo is a forward-thinking, sustainability-driven tree care company rooted in responsible urban forestry. We're currently hiring a Tree Planting Crew Member for a term position planting boulevard trees throughout the City of Selkirk.

This is a great opportunity for university students, recent grads, or anyone looking for rewarding seasonal work in the outdoors. You'll be part of a small, supportive crew making a real impact on local green spaces. For the right person, there's potential to stay on through the summer, assisting with tree pruning and removal projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

Planting and staking boulevard trees with care and attention to detail

Working on a small, supportive team in a hands-on, outdoor setting

Physical labour, shoveling, raking, and lifting heavy loads.

✅ What We're Looking For:

You enjoy physical, outdoor work in all types of weather ( we don't plant if it is pouring rain)

You're reliable, hardworking, and work well with a team

Landscaping, planting, or tree care experience is an asset — but not required

You're interested in sustainability, green space, or making a visible impact in your community

A valid Manitoba license (class 3 is an asset but not required)

Job Details:

Term Dates: May 21– June 30

Hours: Full-time, 8–10 hour days. But we're flexible and happy to work with your schedule. We can accommodate a 4 day work week or a need to be off at a certain time, etc.

Wage: $20/hour to start

Location: Selkirk, MB

Transportation: Carpool available from Winnipeg (bonus if you can drive!)

Gear Provided: Gloves, hat and work shirts.
