Hi. I'm Carl. I'm 35. I got a white Pomeranian named Bella as a therapy dog. Thought she'd help with my anxiety and, you know, be calming.

She is not calming.

She is 14 pounds of rage and teeth in a fluffy disguise.

She bites. She bites hard. She bites fast. She bit me yesterday because I sneezed too close to her. My thumb still clicks when I bend it.

I was told Pomeranians are small and adorable. Bella is thick, butchy, and built like a gym teacher who's been passed over for promotion too many times.*She does not cuddle. She looms.

She's not affectionate. She's authoritative. I once tried to pet her while watching TV and she growled until I apologized — *and I meant it.

More things Bella has done to me personally:

* Bit my foot while I was tying my shoe
* Stole my sandwich, stared me down while eating it
* Peed on my bed, then barked at me like I had done something wrong
* Barked at the mirror until I had a panic attack and cried in the garage

I don't think she hates everyone — just me.
But I'm afraid to test it.

Bella needs someone strong. Someone who can assert dominance. I once raised my voice slightly and she charged me. I fell backwards into the garbage can and she stood over me like she'd won a duel. I think she did.
