1 part-time day position (in private home) available immediately for a female caregiver/companion, for myself (Meaghan), a young woman (33 y/o) living with Muscular Dystrophy in a wheelchair, located in the West End of Halifax. I am university educated in psychology, ancient history, and languages.

The schedule is Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays: 9:30 am to 3 pm.

Duties include:
- personal care, toileting, dressing (no heavy lifting-ceiling lift used)
- cleaning my apartment
- cooking
- shopping with me (no vehicle needed)
- companionship (I need emotional support, so a cheerful and supportive disposition is needed, and someone close to my own age)

I need someone who has low anxiety, is patient, doesn't mind curse words, calm, has a sense of humour, tidy, and can take directions well. Must be physically able to do this job. You have to be comfortable handling a guinea pig and not severely allergic to hay or essential oils.
