Like movies? Need a college course? The online class Westerns: A Study in the Film Genre is your chance to gain a deeper understanding of the Western film genre and a college-level credit. Open to Canadian, US and international students everywhere, this Spring 2025 term course is divided into themes such as History of the Western, Landscape and Setting, Actors, Directors, Indigenous Peoples, and Gender. Film review choices include those by director Quentin Tarantino and newly-released Westerns!

Hosted by Sault College (Sault Ste. Marie, ON), Westerns: A Study in the Film Genre runs for a total of 14 weeks from May 13th to August 19th. Registration is open until May 27th and can be completed by email via conedregistration@saultcollege.ca or by calling toll-free at 1-800-461-2260.
