5W 6V6 Garent Stencil tube amp. Custom birch ply cabinet, hand wired. Custom tuned tone circuit to make it sound perfect for that Chicago Blues harp sound. Also sounds amazing cranked with a tele, strat or less paul for that 70s classic rock grind.
Garnet is a famous in the Canadian amp scene. All Garnet amps were hand made, hand wired in Winnipeg Manitoba, designed and built by the late, great Gar Gillies. Used by artists like The Guess Who, Big Sugar, and many others.
Along with his Garnet line of amps, Gar also made "Stencil amps" which were unbranded, or off-branded versions of his main line of amps for department stores like Eatons, Sears, etc. You can identify a Garnet Stencil amp by the CSA number. This one is an example of a Garnet Gnome, which was a beefed up Fender Champ influenced design.

This amp can run a 6v6 power tube (~5-6W) for creamy compressed overdrive tones, or use a 6L6 tube for a little more clean headroom and a bit louder tone (~7W).

I'm pairing down my collection to make more room. I hope someone can get this amps and use it, since I haven't given it the love it deserves in a couple years. I've had this one for close to 20 years, so I'm surprised I'm listing it...
