We are looking for a caring and dependable respite worker to support a high functioning 40 year old gentleman on the autism spectrum. This is a part time role is focused solely on social and recreational outings - there are no personal care or household duties required.

Position Details:

• Hours: 5-15 per week
• Pay: $25.25

Aailability Window

• Evenings: 5:00pm-9:00pm
• Weekends: 1:00pm-9:00pm
• Flexible Sxhedule: You can choose hours within the available timeframes above when the individual is available. We're happy to work with your availability.

About the Role:

This individual is independent, high functioning and does not present with challenging behaviours. He enjoys being active in the community and has a variety of interests, including:
• attending or watching sports events
• going for walks
• seeing musical theatre or live shows
• spending time with friends (you may assist with planning or attending social outings)
•located in Sherwood Park

Requirements:

• Must have a reliable vehicle and valid drivers license
• Must live in Sherwood Park
• Preference for candidates aged 35-45
• Prior experience with autism is not an asset but a kind, respectful, supportive attitude is most important.
