Duties and Responsibilities:

 Conduct daily pre and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment, documenting their

condition via the Daily Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR).

 Drive front-end or rear-load trucks along designated commercial routes to collect solid

waste and transport it to disposal sites.

 Maintain compliance with U-Pak rules, Ministry of Transportation requirements, and

safety regulations on commercial routes.

 Safely operate vehicles, ensuring cleanliness at customer sites and adhering to local,

provincial, and federal laws.

 Collaborate with Dispatch & Route Supervisor to improve efficiency and provide

excellent customer service.

 Utilize the on-board electronic ticket system (FleetMind) to record work completion and

service interruptions.

 Follow assigned routes, completing all documentation at the end of each route.

 Report any incidents or issues immediately to the Route Supervisor.

Working Conditions:

 Driving commercial trucks through the yard and picking up vehicles from dealers.

 Operating in tight environments with overhead hazards.

 Exposure to various weather conditions.

 Time-sensitive pickup and deliveries.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

 Insurable to operate a commercial vehicle.

 Class D Ontario license with Z airbrake endorsement (AZ an asset).

 Two years of experience operating a front end truck.

 Proficiency in maneuvering and backing.

 Clean CVOR driver abstract over the past 24-month period.

 Capability to lift up to 60 lbs and work in outdoor inclement conditions.

 Strong work ethic and customer-centric approach.

 Proficient in reading, writing, and comprehension for daily assignments and reports.
