We are excited to host this workshop with Dr. Bob Bors, Dr. Bob retired last summer from the University of Saskatchewan after 25.5 years. He was an instructor of horticulture classes including Greenhouse Management, Plant Propagation, Fruit Science, Urban Agriculture, Plant Biotechnology and Introduction to Horticulture. He headed the USASK Fruit Program which became internationally recognized as leaders in Haskap and Sour Cherry breeding. Last month Bob was inducted into the Saskatchewan Agriculture Hall of Fame!
Bob does not claim to be a bonsai master, but he does claim to be capable of giving a good introductory workshop on bonsai. He is an expert in pruning fruit trees and bushes which has many similarities to pruning bonsai plants. He has given this workshop about 25 times over the years, mostly to university students.

Please register by calling the Library at 306-989-0045 Wednesday and Thursday from 10-6pm or TEXT Kyla outside of library hours at 306-981-5899. Once registered, E-transfers to hold your seat may be made to the library at padcirc@wapitilibrary.ca, please put ‘bonsai' in the memo portion.
Participants are welcome to bring additional plants they would like to work with, and their own bonsai planters if they wish.
All participants asked to bring pruning shears.
