Two very shiny reflective stainless steel Bird-B-Gone spinning bird deterrent devices, free for whoever can use them. One of these was outside for a week and is in almost mint condition, the other has never been outside and is truly in mint condition.

These things work too well. The bright flashes were going to drive us and our neighbours crazy, so we took it down soon after mounting it in our backyard. You don't want these babies too close to your windows, but if you want to deter birds, I doubt there's a better way.
