Barrhill Feeders Inc. is searching for a full-time Feedlot Maintenance and Light Fabrication Technician to join our progressive and growing team. Barrhill Feeders Inc. is currently feeding 75,000 head between two feedlot operations located 10 miles North of Picture Butte, AB or 10 miles East of Barons, AB. As a Feedlot Maintenance and Light Fabrication Technician, you are responsible for assisting the feedlot mechanic and maintenance lead with daily duties, maintenance, and repairs. maintenance.

Major Responsibilities:
- Assisting Feedlot Mechanic and Maintenance Lead with daily duties, maintenance, and repairs.
- Repairing and maintaining all heavy and light duty equipment operation wide, including feed mills at both feed yards.
- Organization of the shop (filters, lubricants, parts, etc.).
- Cost benefits analyses of equipment repair costs.
- Maintaining records for all repairs and maintenance.

Experience/Skills Required:
- Valid driver's license, preferably Class 1 and/or 3.
- Proficient welding and mechanical skills, tickets not necessary.
- Good attitude and team player.
- Self-motivated.
- Attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Interpersonal and communication skills with co-workers in person, email, and text messaging.
- Communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to climb heights and follow safety protocols (bins, platforms, etc.).
- Experience with operating equipment (loader, skid steer, etc.) (preferred, but not required).
- Experience operating, maintaining, and repairing agricultural, light and heavy-duty equipment.
- Experience in the feedlot industry is considered an asset, but not necessary.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
- Repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift 60 lbs.
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions.

Hours:
- Shift Rotation: Monday-Friday, and weekends as needed/on-call.
- 7 AM- 4:30 PM (subject to change based on the time of year).

Transportation:
- Own transportation, valid driver's license.
