This is a rare find for sure. Early 1900s, made by “Library Bureau of Canada Ltd.” Quarter sawn (tiger) oak file cabinet with step back to a two glass door bookcase shelf sections. Five separate pieces (stackable) in total, including the removable base and top. Two file drawer sections have a total of 6 file drawers: two letter sized and two index card holder drawers in the top file section and 2 legal sized file drawers in the bottom file section. The barrister book shelf section has 2 adjustable shelves and two original old wavy glass doors with no cracks or breaks in the glass.
All sections matching and with panelled sides. The bottom 3 removable sections (base and two file cabinets) measure 38 1/2” wide, 24” deep and 30” tall. The removable glass door section including the top, measure 38 1/2” wide, 16” deep and 35” tall. Overall this combined file cabinet and barrister bookcase combo measures 65” tall.
