1974 VW SUPER BEETLE

History/Overview: This nice Beetle came from BC and was purchased in June 2017 in Edmonton, Alberta. There is only 300 miles on the new motor - always garaged and seldom driven. This car is nicely finished; very tight with no rattles or pulls – it runs very smooth and strong. $40,000.00 invested in the build without the initial cost of the car. Odometer reads 67768 miles. Less than 200 miles on the build.!
Body: Repainted in 2017 in 2007 VW Jetta white. NEW floor pans, rocker panels, all four fenders, apron louvers and running boards. New fender welting and new body bolts, nuts and fasteners. Heater channels replaced. New glass seals and weather stripping. New bumpers, bumper brackets and rubber. New chrome body moldings.
Chassis/Suspension: Factory suspension in good working and well-maintained order. Two new MacPherson Struts.
Engine: Rebuilt in Sept of 2017 by a qualified VW engine specialist from Fernie B.C. All new internals and rebored from 1600 cc to1641 cc. New carburetor. Chrome accents. Engine and exhaust invoice was $4100.00. New battery and gas tank.
Transmission: Factory 4 speed manual. Smooth shifting in all gears.
Exhaust: New system with quad chrome tips.
Brakes: Factory system in good working and well-maintained condition.

Wheels: New chrome alloy 15 inch.
Tires: New Centred Metric Radials 165 R15 with 200 miles.

Interior: New upholstery in 2020 including all new floor covering (trunk included). Original headliner.

Extras included: Original gas tank. Miscellaneous parts.
Options and Special Features: AM FM stereo with cassette player (not working).

Known issues: Very fine driving vibration - may be a flat spot in tires from not driving regularly. One paint chip (touched up) on RH front fender. Very small amount of filler detected on tail pan around exhaust opening. Crack in paint on RH exhaust opening. One chip in windshield (not repaired).
Reason for selling: Downsizing.
