Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled End-dump Hauler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials using an end-dump trailer, ensuring safe and efficient delivery to various job sites. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and commercial driving, as well as a commitment to safety and compliance with all transportation regulations.
Responsibilities
Operate end-dump trailers to transport freight to designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance.
Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding routes, schedules, and any issues encountered during transport.
Assist in loading and unloading materials as necessary, ensuring proper handling techniques are used.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the vehicle as needed.
Skills
Proficient in heavy equipment operation, particularly with end-dump trailers.
Strong knowledge of freight handling and transportation regulations.
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Basic automotive repair skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
Experience operating forklifts is a plus.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and dispatchers.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
