About the Position:
Kent Bridge Country Market is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team! In this role, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, implement marketing strategies, and provide excellent customer service in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This position offers competitive pay and benefits, including health and dental plans.
Responsibilities:
Direct and control daily operations of the store
Evaluate and organize daily store activities
Manage staff, assign duties, and ensure smooth operations
Study market trends, consumer demand, and competitors' influence on sales
Develop marketing strategies to promote products and services
Plan and manage budgets, monitor revenues and expenses
Hire, train, and supervise staff or volunteers
Oversee payroll administration and conduct performance reviews
Resolve customer complaints and operational issues
Ensure the store meets health and safety standards
Job Requirements:
Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma (3 months to less than 1 year), or equivalent experience.
Experience: 1 to 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably in a food or retail environment.

Ability to evaluate and improve store operations

Ability to work independently and in a team
Languages: English
