Permanent, full time, experienced carpenter wanted for a variety of commercial and residential renovations and new construction. Prerequisites:
• Reliable transportation/driver's licence
• Criminal Record Check will be required
• Steel toe boots and PPE
• Hand tools
• Excellent communication skills

• Physically fit, good work ethic
• Attention to detail

Experience:
• Min. 5 years experience in construction working on small to medium size construction projects/renovations
• Experience forming concrete and foundations through to finishing stages of new construction and renovation projects
• Ability to assist and work with carpentry apprentices and site supervisors
• Familiarity with BC Building Code
• Able to read plans and specifications and assist with materials management
• Able to assist project manager with day to day scheduling and coordination
• Experience working in occupied spaces, and with other trades
• Familiar with rough and finish carpentry, framing, concrete, siding, decking, window/door/hardware installation, steel studs, t-bar, soffits/facia, unique/specialty systems, kitchen and bath renovations and millwork installation
• Diverse experience in commercial, residential and institutional construction for both renovations and new construction.
• Knowledge and respect for good health and safe work practices around co-workers, equipment, machinery and occupied or public spaces
• Awareness of Hazmat materials identification and abatement procedures
• Experience sharing knowledge, and taking responsibility while working with less experienced crew
• Experience making sound time management decisions balancing production orientated work vs. quality finished product


Compensation:
Wage based on experience. Extended health and benefits available after 3 month probation period. Stat. holidays, vacation pay, overtime paid when required, work with a professional, supportive and respected crew, flexibility with time off.
