The 1941 Newfoundland one cent coin was issued when Newfoundland was still a British dominion, before joining Canada in 1949. The obverse features King George VI facing left, with the inscription “GEORGIVS VI D:G:REX ET IND:IMP.” The reverse displays the denomination “ONE CENT,” the date “1941,” and “NEWFOUNDLAND” above, surrounded by a stylized wreath design. Struck in bronze, the coin measures 19.05 mm in diameter. In MS (Mint State) condition, the coin is uncirculated with no wear, showing original mint luster and sharp detail. This coin is a notable example of Newfoundland's distinctive pre-Confederation coinage.
