The 1934–1939 Bank of England ten shillings banknote is a pre-World War II British note featuring a portrait of Britannia seated with a shield and trident. Printed in shades of red, it includes the signature of Chief Cashier K.O. Peppiatt. This note was part of the Series C issues and was printed on high-quality paper with intricate line designs to prevent counterfeiting. The denomination "Ten Shillings" is clearly stated, and the reverse side is relatively plain compared to later issues. Notes in VG (Very Good) condition typically show heavy circulation wear, creases, and small tears but remain intact and identifiable.
