We have a 1.5 year old, purebread Catahoula- handsome fella!! He is great with children and chickens and small farm animals- except the rabbits of course! He has chased more than we can count- though he doesn't kill them he mouths them and holds them down).

We are most likely moving overseas and rather than wait another 8 months to find him his forever home we figured we would need to do so right away as he is still super young and trainable!

He is handsome, which is the most important thing of course , shots up to date, neutered, chipped and tattooed, he has basic training and our intention with him was to have him start to work the large livestock, but we never got to that point as we have this move that unexpectedly came to us!

He hasn't been trained with training collar as we just used basic voice command and such- and he is quite good with recall except when he trees a cougar or grouse- we just wait him out and he comes home.

He is fine driving in vehicles but hesitant initially and used to have some car sickness but not any more; mind you we don't drive him anywhere often as we are on the farm and other dogs come here to visit. He is sociable with other dogs.

I am not sure if any other vices that may come later as we havent had him that long but so far he is turning out amazing and loving and so kind!!

We would prefer farm or someone that is just super loving and active and knows the requirement of energy with this breed!!

If you don't have a farm- that's ok! If you're active, you can take him fishing, he's a great running buddy, lovesssssss his people!!!

He is an amazing property/guardian dog and we have never had any issues with bears or wildlife coming into the property nor any animal loss from wild animals! He really is perfect and we hope he can find the best best home!!!

We have his papers, breeder information (reputable breeder in B.C.) and all health records!
