Study Participants Needed!
We are currently recruiting participants for a study at CAMH College Street Site (250 College Street) to advance antipsychotic treatment. This study examines whether “extended” antipsychotic treatment - in this case, antipsychotic treatment every other day - is as effective as daily treatment.
We are looking for participants who:
- are 18 years of age or older
- have a diagnosis of schizophrenia
- are taking only 1 antipsychotic (olanzapine, risperidone, or paliperidone) for at least 3 months
- are able to communicate in English
If you meet the eligibility criteria for the study, you will be randomly assigned to either the treatment as usual group (i.e., taking your daily antipsychotic) or the extended dosing group (i.e., taking your antipsychotic one day on, one day off).
Compensation will be provided. If interested in participating, please send an e-mail to carol.borlido@camh.ca or give us a call at (416) 535 8501 ext. 34321.
The security of information sent by email cannot be guaranteed. Please do not communicate personal sensitive information by email. All information obtained during the study will remain strictly confidential.
