The Grocery Stockperson and Merchandiser plays a key hands-on role in ensuring our grocery section is well-stocked, clean, and welcoming for our customers. This position also supports the maintenance of our online store, in-store merchandising, and the proper labelling and restocking of our ready-made meals to deliver a seamless shopping experience—both physically and digitally.
This role requires strong attention to detail, particularly in maintaining accurate product labelling and pricing on shelves, with labels clearly visible and items neatly arranged. The successful candidate will also serve as a primary point of contact for customers, providing knowledgeable and friendly assistance across a range of inquiries.
Daily responsibilities include stocking and restocking store shelves and ready-made meals, updating inventory in our online store, and lifting boxes weighing over 15 kg. Safe use of warehouse equipment and navigation of store aisles with rolling carts is also required.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain in-store shelving, end-caps, window displays, and signage
• Safely and accurately stock and restock shelves throughout the day
• Label and restock ready-made meals in refrigerated and display units
• Unload warehouse pallets and transport items to the storefront
• Enter product information and pricing into the Point-of-Sale (POS) system
• Assist with updating and managing online grocery listings (WooCommerce on WordPress)
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely restocking of all items, including meals
• Ensure shelves are clean, well-organized, and properly labeled
• Break down and dispose of empty boxes, properly recycling materials
• Engage positively with customers from diverse backgrounds
• Assist customers in locating products and answering product-related questions
• Collaborate with team members and support shared responsibilities
• Assist customers with carrying groceries to their vehicles, if requested
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:
• High school diploma preferred
• 1–2 years of customer service experience, preferred
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, a must
• Marketing or merchandising experience is an asset
• Strong interest in specialty foods, especially Italian products, is highly preferred
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Able to safely lift and move boxes over 30 lbs (15 kg)
• Physically capable of repetitive reaching and bending
• Comfortable working at varying heights, including using ladders in tight spaces
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible availability based on store needs, product deliveries, and sales trends; must be available to work Saturdays
• Willingness to adapt and contribute across various tasks and responsibilities
• Eagerness to learn and grow within the role
