Anderson Blake Healthcare are seeking compassionate and dedicated Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) to join our team as Personal Support Workers (PSWs). This role offers an excellent opportunity for internationally trained nurses to apply their clinical knowledge and caregiving experience while gaining valuable Canadian work experience in healthcare settings such as long-term care homes, retirement residences, hospitals, and community care.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and feeding

Support clients with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics and/or assistive devices

Observe and report changes in the client's physical or emotional condition to the supervising nurse

Assist with medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals

Provide emotional support and companionship to clients

Document care and activities accurately and in a timely manner

Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients

Respect and promote the dignity, privacy, and autonomy of each client

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of care

Qualifications:
Education: Nursing degree/diploma from an international institution (Required)

Licensing: Proof of International Nurse Credentials (e.g., from NNAS or CNO if applicable) – not mandatory to be licensed as an RN/RPN in Canada

PSW Certificate (Preferred or willingness to complete bridging/PSW equivalency program)

CPR and First Aid certification (Required)

Police Vulnerable Sector Check (Required)

COVID-19 vaccination as per public health guidelines (Required)

Skills and Experience:
Experience providing direct patient care, either internationally or in Canada

Strong understanding of basic nursing care principles and patient safety

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Cultural sensitivity and compassion in caregiving

Ability to work independently and as part of a care team

Adaptable to new environments and systems
