Hello everyone once again we're back and happy to announce the newest litter from TheDachshund.6
We have 4 boys and 2 girls that we're born APRIL 15 to Zuri and Levi. If previous litters are any indication we should have one or two long hairs while the others will be smooth. We will update as soon as we know. Coats are usually identifiable 10-15 days. Zuri (Mommy) is a very affectionate 13 pound 3 year old Chocolate with faded tanned markings and Levi (Daddy) is a gorgeous 16 pound 2 year old Chocolate Piebald. Both on site as well as Zuri's parents. When these puppies are full grown they will not fall under 11 pounds which is the American Kennel Club definition of a miniature however they will fall under the 16 pound and up definition of standard as per the AKC. These newcomers all have unique markings like a white chest (Daddy's signature :)) and are likely to inherit Mom's beautiful yellowish eyes as previous litters did. My wife and I have raised 9 dachshunds over a 25 year period. We have also been breeding for 7 years and have extensive experience and knowledge of this breed. We are also retired which allows us to spend as much time as possible with the puppies ensuring a clean, healthy and safe environment for those crucial first 8 weeks.

LUMA - Is a Black and Tanned girl with a White chest and a white patch on her neck.
LYRA - Is a Chocolate and Tanned girl with a White chest
ROLLO - Is a Lighter coloured Chocolate boy. His Tanned markings are slightly distinguishable from his overall colour. White chest
SONNY - Is also a lighter coloured Chocolate boy with a Black mask and black ears. White chest
FRODO - Is a boy and also the more traditional Chocolate and Tanned and also a White chest
MARLO - Is a boy and is a darker version of the Chocolate with shades of Black with a stripe on his back and of course the White chest :)

All puppies are pure breed but not registered. We DO NOT use cages, kennels or crates nor do we force any of our dogs into a new home midlife because they have been deemed as retired or no longer a part of our breeding program. They are loved and part of our family for life.We do not use pee pads as the puppies tend to chew them. Instead we begin training the puppies to follow the adults outside at 6 weeks once they've received their first vaccinations. Regardless of colour, coat, stripes or polkadots all puppies from the same litter are always priced the same as to us one is just as precious as another. You will not have a puppy brought to you at the door instead you and your family and/or friends will be invited into our home to meet our entire dachshund family. When ready for their new homes the puppies will be on a diet of kibble, soft food and boiled chicken breast. We feel kibble is important as it promotes strong and cleaner teeth. We do not use raw food. In the words of our veterinarian it could introduce bacteria that a puppies immune system may not be capable of fighting off yet.

Our puppies always come very well socialized. They will be eager to meet you and be looking to jump in your arms for kisses and pettings not shy, hesitant or reluctant. This is the difference from being with them all the time and not. This is a wonderful breed that hi light the words affectionate and loyal and just have great all around personalities.
