Auto Body Estimator

Overview
We're seeking an experienced Auto Body Estimator to join our team at 92 Collision and Autobody. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for customers, assessing vehicle damage, providing accurate repair estimates, and ensuring that the repair process runs smoothly from start to finish. You'll work closely with our technicians, customers, and insurance companies to ensure that all repairs meet our high standards of quality.

Responsibilities
• Inspect vehicles and assess the damage to prepare accurate and detailed repair estimates
• Communicate with customers and insurance companies to explain repairs and costs
• Prepare and submit repair orders and documentation to the insurance companies
• Work closely with the repair team to ensure estimates align with actual repairs needed
• Ensure timely follow-up on open estimates and claims
• Advise customers on the necessary repairs and repairs timeline
• Maintain a strong knowledge of industry pricing, repair methods, and insurance procedures
• Keep track of the status of ongoing repairs and communicate with customers regularly
• Manage administrative tasks related to estimating and customer communication

Required Skills & Qualifications
• Proven experience as an Auto Body Estimator or in a similar role
• Strong understanding of collision repair processes and parts
• Familiarity with estimating software (Mitchell, CCC One, Audatex)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with customers and insurance reps
• Attention to detail and ability to provide accurate estimates
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously
• Knowledge of insurance procedures and industry standards
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus

Preferred Skills
• I-CAR or OEM certification in estimating or collision repair
• Experience working with DRPs (Direct Repair Programs)
• Familiarity with ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) technology
• Ability to handle customer complaints and difficult situations professionally
• Background in auto body repair or collision shop operations

Compensation
• Hourly rate: $25 – $35/hour, based on experience and certifications
