Overview
We're looking for a skilled and motivated Licensed Auto Body Technician to join our team at 92 Collision and Autobody. If you take pride in your craftsmanship and enjoy bringing vehicles back to life, we'd love to hear from you. In this role, you'll inspect damage, carry out repairs, and make sure every vehicle leaves our shop looking its best.
We're looking for someone who's experienced, dependable, and takes pride in their work. The ideal candidate knows their way around a body shop, can work independently, and is a solid team player. You should be comfortable jumping into a fast-paced environment, tackling everything from minor dents to full collision repairs.
We value technicians who are detail-oriented, take initiative, and are always looking to improve their skills. If you're the type of person who doesn't cut corners, cares about doing things the right way, and enjoys restoring vehicles to factory-finish condition—you'll fit right in with our crew.
Responsibilities
• Inspect vehicles for structural and cosmetic damage
• Perform body repairs using hand and power tools (welding, sanding, painting, etc.)
• Replace or repair damaged parts such as bumpers, fenders, and doors
• Collaborate with other technicians to ensure efficient workflow
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Document all repairs and flag any additional work needed
• Stay up-to-date with the latest repair techniques, tools, and safety practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Licensed Auto Body Technician
• Proven hands-on experience with collision and cosmetic repairs
• Skilled in using hand tools and power tools (grinders, sanders, welders, etc.)
• Understanding of vehicle structures, body alignment, and repair processes
• Capable of welding, metalwork, and plastic repair
• Familiar with refinishing prep (sanding, masking, priming)
• Able to interpret repair estimates and damage reports
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy parts
• Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
• Safety-conscious and adherent to shop protocols
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Skills
• Experience with frame machines and frame straightening
• Familiarity with insurance repair processes and DRPs
• Background in high-volume shop work
• Knowledge of paint systems and color matching
• Estimating software skills (Mitchell, CCC One, Audatex)
• I-CAR or OEM repair certifications
• Experience with ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) calibration
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities
Compensation
• Hourly rate: $25 – $30/hour, based on experience and certifications
• Overtime opportunities available
