We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and safety, with experience in the Hong Kong & Asian cuisine food industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, managing team members, and ensuring that all food served meets our standards of excellence.
Responsibilities:
-Prepare and cook the Hong Kong & Asian style dishes and specialty stir-fry dishes.
-Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines in all kitchen operations.
-Manage kitchen staff, providing training and support to ensure high performance.
-Collaborate with the front-of-house team to create an exceptional dining experience for guests.
-Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
-Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times.
-Innovate new menu items and seasonal offerings inspired by Hong Kong & Asian food to enhance the
restaurant's culinary appeal.
-Handle food handling procedures with care to prevent contamination or spoilage.
Skills:
-Strong knowledge of Hong Kong & Asian food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
-Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
-Experience working in the Hong Kong & Asian restaurant industry is preferred.
-Excellent team management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate staff effectively.
-Bartending experience is a plus for establishments that serve beverages alongside meals.
-Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
-Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and guests alike.
Requirements:
-Minimum 3 years of experience as a chef specializing in Hong Kong & Asian style cuisine.
-Completion of secondary school.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
-Strong knowledge of traditional Chinese & Asian cooking techniques and ingredients.
-Excellent communication and leadership skills.
-Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Language of Work: English & Cantonese
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 42 per week
Expected start date: 18 April,2025
