Periodontal speciality clinic in west Calgary is seeking an experienced dental hygienist to join our team for a set part-time schedule.Requirements:
Registered Dental Hygienist with current licensure with the College of Registered Dental Hygienists of Alberta.
Friendly, personable, self-motivated individual with a positive attitude, and a team player.
Organized with a strong work ethic.
Willing to learn and adapt as needed.
Duties include but not limited to:
Proficiency in oral lesion screening.
Proficiency in taking intra-oral radiographs and photographs.
Proficiency in periodontal probing and charting.
Proficiency in use of local anesthetic (topical and injectable).
Proficiency in hand and piezo-electric instrumentation.
Proficiency in patient communication, especially in reviewing need for proposed treatment, patient education, and review and demonstration of home care oral hygiene techniques.
Minimum 5 years of experience is strongly recommended, as this position requires management of complex periodontal cases.
Familiarity with Mac computers is an asset. No evening or weekend work required.
