This is the mother of all drafting tables! KUHLMANN means German quality and German quality means HEAVY! This titannic sized industrial machine has a tabletop measurement of 39 x 59 inches and stands 6 feet tall to the tip of the counterweighted drawing machine at a comfortable tilt. Yes, that is a bed mattress on the floor next to it! This colossus was made in the late 1940's to early 1950's in WILHELMSHAVEN, WEST GERMANY . This table is in good used condition with excellent mechanicals, no broken or cracked parts and nothing is bent or warped out of shape. The base is solid cast iron and features a solid cast concrete cylinder counterweight and foot operated brake release via knuckle-joints . The drafting machine is also extremely heavy and orbuilt, it weighs over 50 pounds alone! Drafting machine is smooth and precise despite its weight because of the massive cast iron counterwight at the top. This machine is painted in a green metallic hammerite which looks nice but it does have some rubbing, nicks, scratches and very fant signs of oxidation peaking through the paint.
