Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced 2-Needle Cover Stitch Hemming Machine Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating industrial sewing machines specifically for hemming garments using the 2-needle cover stitch technique. Precision, speed, and attention to detail are essential in this role to ensure high-quality finishes on a variety of garments.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate a 2-needle cover stitch hemming machine efficiently and safely.

Hem knitwear and woven garments such as t-shirts, dresses, activewear, and more according to production specs.

Maintain consistent stitch quality and garment measurements.

Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.

Follow production schedules and meet daily targets.

Inspect finished hems to ensure they meet quality standards.

Collaborate with supervisors and other team members to maintain workflow and efficiency.

Report fabric defects or sewing inconsistencies to the production manager.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience operating a 2-needle cover stitch hemming machine in a manufacturing or production setting.

Strong knowledge of garment construction and industrial sewing practices.

Ability to read and understand garment specifications.

Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

Ability to sit and operate a sewing machine for extended periods.

Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.

Preferred:

Experience working with various fabric types including stretch and knit fabrics.

Familiarity with other industrial sewing machines is a plus.
