Administrative & Accounting Assistant – Financial Services

About the Role:
Anva Finance, an independent financial advisory and tax services practice, is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Administrative & Accounting Assistant to help manage core day-to-day operations. This remote-friendly role is ideal for someone who is organized, tech-savvy, and interested in gaining experience in finance, tax, and client management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Handle bookkeeping and general accounting duties
- Organize and maintain digital client folders (tax returns, CRA correspondence, etc.)
- Perform accurate data entry in Excel, CRM systems, and tax software (individual & corporate)
- Communicate with CRA regarding client tax matters
- Coordinate with insurance providers (life, medical, Super Visa)
- Maintain professional communication with clients via phone, email, and video calls

Requirements:

- Experience in bookkeeping or accounting (QuickBooks knowledge is an asset)
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with CRM or tax software
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while working remotely

Preferred Qualifications:

- Background in finance, accounting, or administrative support
- Experience in communicating with CRA or handling tax matters
- Familiarity with the insurance or financial services sector
