Attention Ibanez Collectors!!! Against my better judgement, I am Selling or for possible Trade is my Extremely Rare, All Original, Vintage 1986 Ibanez Roadstar II RG420.. First Year of the RG Series.. Top Quality Handcrafted in Japan. The RG420 is a Roadstar II series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1986. Kirk Hammett (Metallica), Joe Satriani, J. Yuenger (White Zombie) all own and play one of these exact same model Guitars.. The Roadstar II series would eventually become known as the RG series. The RG420 is one of only a few RG models produced with a 22-fret neck. It has the sharp-edged body style which distinguishes it from the older Roadstar II body. The RG420 features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with skunk stripe on the back like a Fender, beautiful 22- fret Rosewood Fingerboard with Pearloid dot inlays. Components include High Gain dual Ibanez humbucking pickups mounted in pickup rings at the bridge and neck with coil-split Duo Sound functionality (Amazing Tone) and an Edge double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut that stays in Tune Forever. The 1986 RG420 has the original rare swoop Roadstar II headstock shape and the headstock is painted to match the body. This Guitar Shreds!!! Fantastic Condition for a 1986.. Professionally Set up with super low action and no buzzing. New Ernie Ball ParaDigm Strings Installed. Frets have been polish and Neck has been cleaned and conditioned.
