Think of this as an office armoire. The top of the filing cabinet is a big cabinet with 3 adjustable shelves that you can adjust according to the actual size of the things stored, and there are doors to create a professional appearance to your home office.

Then below, the cabinet has 2 large filing drawers that allow you to adjust the hanging file bars for letter or legal sized files. There are only 7 hanging file bars - I am missing one. You can have two rows of files in the top drawer and one row of files in the bottom drawer, using the extra space to store copy paper, etc. (or you can buy an extra hanging file bar).

The unit has wheels that lock for safety, allowing you to move it if necessary.

The unit is an IKEA brand maple grained faux wood. The dimensions are, in centimetres, 84W X 42D X 172H.

Other than, perhaps, taking the wheels off, you will not be able to take this unit apart. Therefore, you will need a truck and some blankets and two strong people to preserve its "like new" condition.

I do not see a similar unit by IKEA anymore, but Wayfair has one, which is slightly smaller, for $419.99. I'm asking $275 for this unit - it has been a lifesaver in my small home office - I had it packed! It is very sturdy, so you don't have to worry about overloading it.
