Summary of position
We are currently looking for an experienced Class 1 Truck Driver as well to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting heavy equipment and oilfield tools safely and efficiently to various locations across Alberta. This position requires a valid Class 1 license, a clean drivers abstract, and the ability to work long hours in all weather conditions. The ideal candidate will also have experience with loading and unloading heavy equipment, navigating unfamiliar roads, and maintaining accurate records.

Role and Responsibilities
• Transporting heavy equipment/oilfield tools to various locations through Alberta
• Loading equipment on and off of the low bed truck and following site safety rules and regulations
• Ensuring loads are secure
• General maintenance and upkeep of the vehicle
• Must be able to perform proper pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintaining log books and time sheets in an accurate and timely manner
• Working with other members of the team in a professional manner
• Supporting the Maintenance Facility as directed by Maintenance Facility Manager and President


Qualifications, Training and Education
• Class one license with Air brake endorsement and a clean commercial drivers abstract is required
• Minimum of 3 years transporting heavy equipment/oilfield tools
• Experience operating heavy equipment
• Knowledge and experience within heavy civil construction
• Willingness to work long hours including weekends
• Preferred CSTS, Ground Disturbance II, WHMIS 2015
• Local to Edmonton/surrounding area preferred


Working Conditions
Candidates must be willing to commit to 8-12 hours/ day
