Around the time of the American Revolution (1774-1783), many of our ancestors stayed loyal to the Crown and, as a result, were driven out of the Thirteen Colonies into what is now Canada. It's estimated that one in ten Canadians have a Loyalist ancestor. Are you one of those descendants? Do you have an interest in Canadian history? Join us! Meetings are free and open to all (usually in person and/or virtually via Zoom), followed by an educational presentation.
Our next meeting of the Manitoba Branch of the United Empire Loyalists' Association of Canada will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2024 at 6:30 pm at the Manitoba Genealogical Society (Unit E – 1045 St. James Street) AND online via Zoom. A presentation (“A Loyalist Journeys to the West” ) by Robert Campbell will follow the meeting.
