Canon EF-S 17-55 zoom lens, fast F2.8 contant through out the zoom range. This lens sells new for $1,200 plus taxes at Henrys, and $400 on the used market.
The zoom ring does not work as an internal gear is broken so you need to push/pull the lens to do your zooming. I used it for over a year like that with no issue.
Also, the aperture is stuck at F2.8 and would need a repair if you want to use it beyond F2.8
