About Us:
GO Paving is a growing construction company specializing in paving and base installation for a variety of projects, including road restoration, driveways, and parking lots. We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual to lead our base crew and contribute to the successful completion of diverse paving projects.

Position Overview:
As the Lead Base Crew Member, you will oversee a small team of 2-3 workers to manage base installations prior to paving. This is a key role for someone with a strong background in paving and base processes, eager to make a direct impact on project success. There is also potential for winter snow clearing work for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and work alongside the base crew for base installation on projects such as road restoration and parking lots.
- Operate skid steers and other heavy equipment for material handling and transportation.
- Read and interpret plans, civil elevations, and grade specifications.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed, using mechanical knowledge.
- Ensure safety compliance and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:
- Prior experience in base work is required.
- Proficiency in operating loaders or other heavy equipment is an asset but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of asphalt paving and finishing processes.
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is a plus.

Job Type: Seasonal

Contract length: 7 months

Pay: $28.00-$39.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 65 per week
