Excellent tube for preamps
The Siemens C3M is a low-noise, high-gain pentode tube, originally designed for German telecommunications, that's now highly valued in the DIY amplifier community for its use as a driver tube in single-ended (SE) amplifiers, known for its quiet operation and low microphonics.
The C3m is a general purpose pentode with a 125 mA heater requirement for series heater chains. The construction is all glass with a built-in aluminium screening can.
The wide glass tube envelope is 32 mm in diameter, and excluding the B8B base pins is 53 mm tall.

These rare Siemens C3M NOS tubes are well known in the DIY SE amplifier community as a great driver tube for SE amps. Originally intended for German telecommunications, this low-noise tube is excellent for hifi audio circuits.
The C3m is a loctal socket metal-shielded pentode use by the German Post for audio repeater amplifiers in long distance telephone lines. They are extremely linear and were rated for 10,000 hours of use. Many of these tubes also had an individual serial number on them.
The use of this tube was popularized by Thorsten Loesch in his 'Legacy' 300B amplifier. There are also a few commercial pieces of gear (eg Ayon Audio has a full function preamp) that use this tube.
