2000 Porsche Boxster S
I'm considering offering up my 2000 Porsche Boxster S to another car enthusiast once it comes out of its winter hibernation. This car was originally legally imported from Kentucky in 2010 by a previous owner, it has original silver paint, no accidents and a very rare red leather interior.
The work done at an authorized Porsche facility to make it a reliable advanced drivers' car at the Porsche club. This work commenced in 2022 at 10,000 kms ago are as follows.
• New Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires and Hawk performance brakes
• New IMS bearing, seals and rear main seal
• New flywheel, pressure plate and new clutch assembly
• Replaced cam plugs, air oil separator, spark plugs, spark plug tubes and coils
• Serviced starter, replaced alternator, serpentine belt, tensioner and idler pully
• Replaced ignition switch and front and rear hood struts
• Replaced water pump
The majority of work done on the car was preventative in nature while the engine and transmission were dropped for the clutch and IMS bearing. I wanted to set it up as a reliable car for Porsche track weekends but I've lost interest in becoming an instructor for the driving schools.
