This position is responsible to provide operational support in mitigation services for clients, in a residential or commercial setting. The following is a list of the essential duties and responsibilities of this job. The tasks and the time spent performing each task may vary as business needs require.
• Respond to and perform mitigation services for wind, fire/smoke, water, vandalism, and mold other losses as required. This includes but is not limited to:
o removal and demolition of affected building materials
o water extraction
o moving furniture and other contents
o cleaning affected areas and contents
o setting up drying equipment and monitoring drying through the mitigation process
o asbestos and mold abatements as required
• Lead and oversee the entire mitigation portion of a claim to ensure that it is completed thoroughly, and satisfactorily. This includes requesting labour assistance as necessary and working co-operatively with peers.
• Assist with scheduling to ensure jobs are prioritized and completed in a timely manner
• Monitor inventory of supplies used to ensure we have adequate stock to respond to emergency claims as they arise. This includes keeping vehicles stocked.
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment to ensure things are kept in working condition and ready to use.
• Availability to work 24/7 in an on-call rotation.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed timesheets
• Additional duties as required.
• Effective communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to engage clients, deliver excellent service, and build and maintain strong working relationships
• Highly organized, strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Strong time management skills
• IICRC Certification,
• Valid G Drivers license, with a clean driving record
