8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday 40 hours per week.
No Weekend Shifts or Statutory Holidays Shift
Mayfair Lumber is a Canadian wholesaler of lumber products including lumber, pallets, survey stakes and custom cutting.
Maintenance 25% of the position:
-Conducts routine/preventative maintenance on production equipment.
-Inspect, maintain and repair saw blades to ensure they are in optimal condition for cutting wood efficiently. Ensure they are level, straight and properly tensioned.
- Conduct regular inspections of saw blades to ensure they meet quality standards and specification.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with saw blades, identifying causes of reduced performance or premature wear.
-Monitor and maintain the precision of blade profiles to achieve high-quality cuts and minimize waste.
-Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including blade sharpening schedules, adjustments made and any issues in SiteDocs safety software.
-Communicate effectively with supervisor and team members to coordinate blade maintenance schedules and while prioritizing tasks.
-Monitors preventative maintenance on all equipment and production forklifts. Coordinates 3rd party to service on site for production forklifts.


Assembler 75% of the position:
-Assembles wood and wood products and stacks them for temporary storage. Handling and lifting materials.
-Operates machinery often hydraulic, required for assembly.
-Uses pallet binding machine to stack pallet orders.
-Identifies common wood species. ie: Spruce, Pine & Fir
-Perform quality checks on materials before and after final assembly.
-Looks out for possible problems in equipment and materials. Brings more experienced colleagues to solve problems.
-Ability to use work methods and techniques that ensure the product meets quality standards.
-Ability to use work methods that avoid waste.
