Dave Van Pelt Farms Inc. is a family owned and operated farm and feedlot near Coaldale. We are seeking a full-time feed truck driver/ general farm & feedlot worker to join our small team. Wages are dependent on experience in the range of $24-26 per hour to start. We offer a stable work environment as well as health and dental benefits.
Your main tasks will be to:
• Operate a feed truck and wheeled loader
• Deliver the feed to cattle as required
• Use a computer to record the feed fed to cattle
• Maintain the feed truck and loader (may include oil changes, washing and keeping the cab and engine clean and free of debris such as straw)
• Receive grain/feed commodities
• Assist with other duties which may include bedding cattle, yard maintenance, welding and general repair and maintenance
Basic Requirements:
• Able to speak, read and write English
• Communicate well with others
• Valid Class 5 drivers' licence (Class 3 or Class 1 is an asset)
• Values include dependability and honesty
