Sadly we are looking to sell our handmade meat rabbit breeding system along with 7 mature breeding rabbits (3 males 4 females). Most are New Zealand cross Flemish Giants and a male and female Red Satin.

We have been successfully breeding and selling the meat, organs, fur as well as selling live rabbits for pets around the island via farm gate sales advertised online.

The only reason we are selling the whole system and stopping breeding is because we are currently doing sheep, chickens, rabbits and both my husband and I have our own businesses so we are stretched really thin.

We designed and built this breeding system to efficiently be able to feed and clean with ease. Equipt with automatic heated watering system which doesn't freeze in the winter. The cages are galvanized steel and designed to be as hygienic as possible. Gutter systems located at the back collect and dispose of urine and feces. Feeding stations were custom made (recently upgraded to bulk feeders shown in fourth picture) to hold a lot of pellets and each cage has its own hay compartment, all with easy to use latches on each cage.

We also built seperate nesting boxes (pic 2-3) which fit comfortably in each cage and will come together with the whole operation.

We comfortably can fit 75 rabbits (including babies) at its peak.

Gestation of rabbits is 30days and you can breed each doe 4 times a year. Average of 8 babies per litter. Meat rabbits are generally slaughtered around 12-16 weeks and we found on average meat weight was around 3lb (with some being a lot bigger at times).
Rabbit Meat is currently sold at $10 per LB, along we the hides/ ears/ paws. Intestines/ organs and skinned heads (which are all sold for dog food and treats) are sold for $5 per lb.
