Position Overview
We are looking for a strong, energetic, and skilled worker with experience in excavation, underground utility installation, hardscaping, and forestry. The right candidate will be a dependable team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and solid communication skills. Reliability and communication are a must. It won't work for you here if your lifestyle isn't in check. You'll be operating various types of equipment and tools while contributing to the successful completion of site development and landscape construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard
• Operate excavators and skid steers at finish grade level with precision
• Set up and excavate accurately using laser levels
• Perform hardscape work independently or with minimal supervision, including grading, interlock, and retaining walls
• Operate chainsaws and wood chippers for forestry and land clearing
• Perform controlled tree drops safely and effectively
• Install underground utilities including storm, sanitary, and water lines
• Operate quick cut saws, cutoff saws, grinders, and hand tools
• Perform basic equipment maintenance including fueling, greasing, and oil changes
• Read and interpret site plans and construction drawings
• Understand and support the project estimation process as needed

Qualifications
• Must be local to Simcoe County or Muskoka
• Experience operating excavators and skid steers at finish grade level
• Strong knowledge of excavation, underground utility installation, hardscaping, and forestry work
• Experience using chainsaws, quick cut saws, grinders, and wood chippers
• Ability to work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Must be able to read and understand construction plans and drawings
• Familiarity with the estimation process is considered an asset
• Valid G-class driver's license and reliable transportation (required)
• Willingness to travel to job sites throughout Simcoe County and Muskoka
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Physical strength and stamina to perform demanding tasks
• A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to teamwork and safety
