This part-time, seasonal role is perfect for those who love nature and don't mind a little adventure. You'll operate herbicide application equipment to manage unwanted vegetation, gain valuable experience in plant identification and control, and assist with equipment calibration and maintenance.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
· Identify & Manage Vegetation – Recognize noxious weeds and undesirable plants.
· Apply Herbicides Safely & Accurately – Mix, apply, and record pesticide use according to work orders and regulations.
· Follow Safety Protocols – Review chemical labels and SDS sheets before application; wear required PPE.
· Operate Equipment – Use application systems, shovels, weed eaters, and biological controls effectively.
· Maintain Equipment & Vehicles – Perform routine maintenance and assist with major repairs.
· Dispose of Chemicals Responsibly – Properly handle empty containers and rinsate materials.
· Keep Work Areas Professional & Safe – Maintain a clean and organized facility.
· Prioritize Safety – Use and maintain all recommended safety gear

Qualifications:
· Government of British Columbia Landscape Pesticide Applicator Certificate (mandatory).
· 18 years of age or older
· Physically fit
· Able to pass drug and alcohol screening test
· Able to pass a criminal record check
· Valid Class 5 DL
· Standard First Aid/CPR

Job Type: Seasonal
Hours 20 - 40/wk
Employment length: 4 months
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
