For sale I have this gorgeous and very very well taken care of Strowa Flieger Klassik 40mm in EXCELLENT condition with the legendary ETA 2824-2 TOP GRADE version Automatic Swiss movement, not the current (clone) Sellita SW200 movement.
This is the more desirable version (with the ETA 2824-2) as the current Stowa watches use the Sellita SW200 movement which is a clone of the ETA 2824-2. It features hacking and butter-smooth hand winding and does NOT have a ghost date position when the crown is pulled.

Stowa is one of the main big five companies that make watches for the German Air Force

It is Made in Germany and features a double domed sapphire crystal with inner and outer AR coating for impeccable legibility under all conditions. The exhibition case-back is also made of sapphire crystal. The body is a very nice smooth matte satin finish.

It fits perfect on almost any wrist due to its perfect proportions, 40mm in diameter, a very stout 48.6mm lug to lug, only 10.2mm thick, and with a nice universal 20mm lug width which makes it a strap monster. It also features water resistance of up to 5 ATM or 50 m which is more than adequate for a pilot, flieger, field type watch.

It also features gorgeous temperature-blued hour and minute hands, and Superluminova C3 lume on the hour, minute, and seconds hands well as the hour markers, making it insanely bright at night and super visible in low-light conditions (see pics). The dial is a really smooth matte black, which makes for further excellent contrast and legibility. Has a gorgeous looking onion style crown which makes it extremely easy to wind and adjust

The watch had been ordered specifically with no logos or engravings anywhere on it (except the watch information around the case-back) in order to stay as close and true as possible to the original Stowa Flieger Pilot watches from WW2 which also had no writing on them. It was purchased as a gift for me for my 40th birthday.

The watch has been very well taken care of and worn very sparingly. As a watch enthusiast i really take care of my watches. It has been mainly worn on an alternate leather strap, so the original strap is in near mint condition. I have a 6.75-inch wrist, and you can see from the pictures how well and perfect it fits on my wrist.

The watch has very few and very minor hairline scuffs on it from "desk-diving", I mainly wore it in the office, so any contact it made was with the wooden desk or with my sleeves, there is nothing visible that I could capture with the camera.

It currently runs at an EXCELLENT 4 spd (seconds per day) which is within COSC accuracy levels.

It doesn't come with the box or papers unfortunately, as those were lost along with some of my other watch boxes during moving to my new house. This watch has been kept safely inside one of those padded multi-watch storage cases since.

Truly the perfect "go anywhere, do anything" watch for everyone.
