Up for sale is this vintage pair of ESS speakers from the mid 70's. Not sure why they called them "Bookshelf' because they are quite large and very heavy. One of them is in perfect condition. The other has had a shabby repair attempt on the woofer surround. See pictures. The full size Heil air motion transformers are in really great shape with no issues. The walnut veneer cabinets are in excellent condition and very solid. The grills are intact with some minor wear. If you can get a new surround installed on the 12 " woofer you will have an awesome set of stereo speakers. I have recently installed brand new passive radiators on the rear of both speakers. This is my last pair. Pick up only from my location. Price is firm at $600. If you want me to do the repair add $150. I will get it re done by professionals and install it.
