Job Summary:
A Yard Coordinator is responsible for managing the movement, organization, and tracking of materials, vehicles, and equipment in a yard or warehouse environment. They ensure efficient workflow, maintain safety standards, and coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, and management to optimize operations.

Key Responsibilities:
✅ Yard Operations Management

Organize and maintain the yard to ensure efficient traffic flow and material placement.

Direct and coordinate vehicle movement, including trucks, trailers, and forklifts.

Oversee loading and unloading of shipments to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

✅ Equipment & Inventory Control

Track inventory levels and ensure proper placement of materials and equipment.

Maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments.

Ensure proper storage and handling of goods to prevent damage.

✅ Safety & Compliance

Enforce safety regulations and conduct regular yard inspections.

Ensure all employees follow OSHA and company safety guidelines.

Monitor equipment and report maintenance issues or damages.

✅ Communication & Coordination

Work closely with warehouse staff, drivers, and logistics teams to streamline operations.

Maintain clear documentation of shipments, deliveries, and yard activities.

Address any operational issues and implement solutions for efficiency.

Skills & Qualifications:
✔ Experience in warehouse, logistics, or yard coordination (preferred)
✔ Knowledge of inventory management and material handling
✔ Forklift certification (a plus)
✔ Strong organizational and multitasking skills
✔ Ability to work in outdoor environments and lift heavy objects
✔ Good communication and teamwork skills

Work Environment:
Mostly outdoors in a yard, warehouse, or distribution center setting.

Requires physical activity, including lifting, moving materials, and operating equipment.

Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
