For Sale is a rare 36-year-old SOLID WOOD Lys 6-string guitar. Lys (pronounced “Lee”) Guitars were only made from 1980 to 1983. They were handcrafted in La Patrie, Quebec where Seagull Guitars are now made. Robert Godin was one of the owners of Lys until a devastating fire brought Lys Guitars to an end. Afterwards, Godin formed Seagull Guitars, which were originally based on the Lys designs. Seagulls are excellent guitars. However, the Lys guitars were better, because they were each handmade versus the mass production techniques used to make Seagulls. The condition is almost mint. Frets excellent playability excellent.
