Vintage mid 90's light tourer or general all around useful bike.
Components are higher end Shimano Deore LX and STX. The bike is fully serviced and ready to ride with about $150 worth of new components. The size would be a “small” suitable for someone 5'6” to 5'8”. The shifters I put on are friction, making for a very simple, serviceable, trouble free bike.
What I have done to this bike:
- All bearings cleaned and re-greased except BB which is good.
- Three main tubes treated inside with rust inhibiter.
- Drive train cleaned and lubed with dry lube. Chain is good.
- ALL moving parts lubed.
- Brake calipers dismantled, cleaned, and re-lubed.
- Tires are good.
- New shifters
- New saddle.
- New pedals.
- New steerer bearings.
- New brake pads.
- New front wheel.
