Landscape Technician


Area of Specialization:
Landscape Construction and Excavation

Type of Landscape Experience:
Residential and Commercial

Construction Skills:
Ability to work with hard and soft-scape materials such as natural stone, interlocking brick, soils, class A and other aggregates, sod, tree, and shrub and flower planting.
Ability to read and understand Designs, drawings, and blueprints.
Experience with grading and levelling to match designs, drawings, or blueprints.
Work with a team to complete landscape projects in an efficient (within budget) and in a safe and timely manner.

Personal tools/equipment Required:
Steel-toed safety boots, gloves

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
Attention to detail,
Repetitive tasks,
Handling heavy materials,
Physically demanding,
Combination of sitting, standing, bending, crouching, and kneeling, for extended periods of time.

Work site environment:
Various locations in and around the Avalon East and surrounding areas.

Job types:
Full-time, seasonal position with optional snow clearing position for winter season.

Salary:
$18-$24 per hour, based on skill and experience.

Schedule:
10 hour shift. 4 days a week.

Experience:
2 year minimum

Jobs vary in size from large commercial and residential to small residential and are usually within a 1 hour radius of the Avalon East.
